Description

Hi there,

I invited a friend who is not very au fait with computers to sign up. The iphone install and sign up went well but when they installed the Mac client they had to verify and chose to use their phone. The instructions say:

on iphone go to Devices…

They told me they were stuck. Turns out they were looking for an app called Devices and not Keybase's Devices menu. It's a subtle thing but then isn't all UX? My suggestion:

on iphone, open Keybase and go to Devices…

Regards,
iain

Research direction

Search the client for the verification instruction containing “on iphone go to Devices…”. Update it to tell users to open Keybase before going to Devices, then verify that the revised wording appears in the iPhone-to-Mac verification flow.
