hackernews and twitter connection lost

I had a working connection to both Twitter and Hacker news and they both stopped working recently. I posted a new tweet, twice, using the url from your site, but you were never able to authorize me. I also updated my hackernews profile twice, but you have not been able to verify me. What am I doing wrong? I've deleted the twitter posts since none of them seem to work anymore but I've left my hackernews profile up. Can you help me understand what I am doing wrong on these two accounts and how they lost their abillity to be authorized?
