"Show less" button missing on list of chats

Description
After pressing the "+XX more" button (see screenshot) I used to be able to press another button ("show less"?) and collapse the long list of chats back down into a smaller list. That button to collapse the list is no longer there (see second screenshot). Is this intentional or a bug? Either way, I'd like to have that button back :)
OS: Linux Mint 18.3
Keybase version: whatever the latest is, I can't find the version number anywhere in the client.

Research direction
Reproduce the chat list behavior described in the screenshots by expanding the list with the "+XX more" button in the Keybase client on Linux. Trace the chat-list UI to determine why the collapse control is absent; done means users can expand the list and then collapse it again with a "show less" control.
