Description
When clicking the systray icon for the Keybase app, a menu pops up (at the top of the screen) that steals focus. This little window also disappears if another window gets focus.
I've set my window manager up so that window focus always follows the mouse cursor. This means that I have to carefully trace my cursor along the vacant areas of the root window, not hitting any other windows, in order to reach the menubar without it disappearing.

Research direction
Reproduce the systray menubar behavior with a window manager configured for focus to follow the mouse. Start from the Keybase app's systray icon and menubar window behavior; done means the menu remains usable while the cursor moves across other windows or the root window under focus-follow settings.
