Description

A few weeks ago, a co-worker told me that she wasn't seeing files or directories that I had created in a team folder. I was still seeing the files between different devices on my own account, so I figured it was something wrong with her device, or her account.

Over the past few days I created and updated a collection of files in a new directory in my personal KBFS folder (i.e. "/keybase/personal/jms1/Existing-folder/New-folder/files.txt") using a machine at home. Just now I tried to access that directory from my work laptop, and while I am seeing the ".../Existing-folder/" which has existed for several months, I'm not seeing the "New-folder" at all.

So apparently whatever the problem is, it's not just my co-worker.

Running keybase version 2.5.0-20180807174114+6435f04df6 on both the work laptop and the home iMac.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the missing New-folder and files.txt across the home iMac and work laptop in the reported personal KBFS path. Compare visibility after creating and updating the files; done means changes made on one device appear on the other and the underlying cause is identified.
