Description

I have the Keybase for Linux app and I will get a random popup from the app telling me I have accessed a public folder belonging to some user. This happens several times a day, even when the app is seemingly closed. The user is always the same person, I don't know who he is nor do I know why I would have accessed his public folder. I don't follow him nor have we chatted.

His public folder, btw, is empty.

Seems kind of sketchy?

Research direction

The report identifies the Keybase for Linux app but no source file, test, or entry point. Start by reproducing the repeated public-folder popup while the app appears closed, then trace which component emits it; done means the unexplained notifications no longer recur and the behavior is covered by an appropriate test.
