Description
I was trying to understand how teams work in Keybase so I joined the public team keybasefriends. In the GUI it shows that I am a reader of the team and shows a persistent 84 messages in the chat page. I can't view the chat messages though, since clicking on the team chat does nothing. I tried leaving the team using keybase team leave keybasefriends but it throws an error message saying I'm not a member even though the team shows up in the GUI. I tried joining the team again using the GUI but it says that I'm already a member. So am I a member or not?
Keybase clients running on Ubuntu 16.04 and iOS 11.2.5
Possible explanation : I am waiting for an admin's key to approve my membership. If that's the case, the GUI and CLI error messages should make that clear.

Research direction
Reproduce the membership discrepancy with the keybasefriends team using the GUI and keybase team leave keybasefriends, checking both the team membership display and chat access. Trace how pending or unapproved membership is represented across these entry points; done means the GUI and CLI agree on membership state and clearly explain any required admin approval.
