Description

Generic interface for building a kernel at a given commit.

Should support swapping backends:

  • TuxMake (local or in a container)
  • Maestro /api/checkout
  • Whatever else people have

Needs to handle reproducibility (fixed toolchain, config, env) and
support applying patches before building.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by mapping the repository’s current kernel-build path and identifying where a backend interface could accept a commit, reproducibility settings, and patches. Done means supporting swappable TuxMake and Maestro /api/checkout backends, with fixed toolchain, configuration, environment, and patch application before building.
