Polygon geojson display timeseries filter

Hello dear kepler.gl team,

I am currently looking for web solution for interactive choropleth maps.
So far this is the one I find most similar to my request.
So I refer to your two examples and try to combine them.

Due to the earthquakes datetime filters is only available to the point dataset,
I was wondering if I could create one geojson polygon that carry fid and link to timeseries csv table?
Will this be feasible?
Polygon features contain different categories and each categories may have null value during certain timespan.
For example, land cover and land use type throughout 2000 to 2020.
Pre-request, polygon feature's geometry do not change through time.
Only categories may change for each land parcel.

Any suggestions or ideas would be highly appreciated.
