Hexabin crashing?

I am trying to plot a dataset using the hexabin visual. I can plot the data fine using the point visual, but, as soon as I switch to hexabin, I get redirected to a white screen.

Start by reproducing the white screen with the same dataset, switching from the point visual to hexabin, and inspect the browser console for the failure. Compare the hexabin path with the working point visual; done means the dataset renders as hexabin without redirecting to a white screen.
