Select From Map to Filter other sheets like charts

I am able to filter map from a chart section but cannot get my charts to be filtered from a polygon or rectangle selection on the map. Is this still supported? Is there some trick to get this to work in the latest version of Tableau Server?

Start by reproducing the polygon or rectangle selection in the map with Tableau Server and checking whether the charts respond as described. Compare this with filtering the map from a chart; done means establishing whether map selections can filter other sheets or documenting that the behavior is unsupported.
