Link generator query-driven tab selection is broken

I'm being a terrible citizen and deleting this template to save some time. I'll try and return back to expand.

However, it does not. I imagine the reason for this, looking at the JS console, is that recent Sphinx themes dropped shipping JQuery by default. The easiest fix is to replace this business logic with modern JS.
