Description

When I restarted jupyter's kernel, the last modified sort I selected last time became sorted by name again. Is there a solution to change the default sorting to last modified after a kernel restart?

Research direction

Reproduce the issue in Jupyter Notebook by selecting last-modified sorting, restarting the kernel, and checking whether the view returns to name sorting. Trace where the selected sort order is stored and restored; done means the last-modified choice persists after a kernel restart.
