Description
Hi, this issue is already open, but I think it is a very critical issue to allow working with jupyter and its terminal. If I press [Ctrl]+C in Terminal and [Ctrl]+V in Notebook, I want to copy short command strings. This does not work in Firefox 65 and Chrome 72 on Ubuntu 18. Thanks for your help!

Research direction
Start by reproducing the Ctrl+C in the terminal and Ctrl+V in the notebook workflow in Firefox or Chrome on Ubuntu, using a short command string. Trace the existing clipboard handling from that reproduction. Done means short command strings can be copied from the terminal and pasted into the notebook.
