"Permission Denied" error when trying to save a Dropbox synced Jupyter notebook

Platform: PC Windows 10

When I attempt to save my Jupyter notebooks that are on Dropbox I get an error saying:

Permission denied: Dropbox/Python/.../Week+2_TR.ipynb

When I pull any of the files from Dropbox to my desktop they save fine. It's only on when I try to save a notebook within the Dropbox folder structure that I get the error.

I have attempted running Jupyter as Administrator and that doesn't help. I have also tried unchecking the square checked Read Only in the Dropbox folder's Properties, but Dropbox seems to immediately revert back to the square checked state after I apply it. When I open the Properties again it is square checked again. This happens with both the root Dropbox folder and subfolders.

Interestingly this problem does not occur with Google Drive. I can save to that folder without issue. The simple solution is probably just to use Google Drive, but I'd still like to get to the bottom of the Dropbox problem if possible.

Reproduce the reported save failure on Windows 10 by opening a Jupyter notebook from a Dropbox folder and saving it, then compare with a desktop or Google Drive location. The payload names no source files or tests; done would mean identifying whether Jupyter Notebook or Dropbox causes the permission error and documenting a verified resolution.
