Ctrl-Enter in "sublime" edit mode

I have configured my notebook environment to use "sublime" edit mode.

When using Ctrl+Enter in an active notebook cell, it executes the cell (as expected), but also adds a newline to the code itself (not expected).

No file, test, or entry point is named in the issue. Reproduce Ctrl+Enter in an active cell with sublime edit mode enabled, then trace the notebook editor's key handling; done means the cell executes without adding an unwanted newline.
