Jupyter checkpoint to both local and remote

I'm using ssh forwarding to run notebook remotely. Jupyter checkpoints the notebook periodically, but it is only saved to the remote machine. I have to back up manually from the browser to my local laptop.

Is there a way to automatically save to a local notebook at the same time?
