No visual select highlight for line when use vim-emoji with gitgutter

The highlight is not shown when I select lines which have sign for vim-emoji:

I got this problem on Mac OXS, vim version 7.4.
Block visual select have no problem. It might be a problem of gitgutter, I'm not sure

Reproduce the issue on Mac OS X with Vim 7.4, vim-emoji, and gitgutter, using linewise visual selection on lines with a sign; compare it with block visual selection. The issue is resolved when the selected line receives its visual highlight despite the vim-emoji sign.
