## Problem / Steps to reproduce

Problem: when I used Chinese, the characters that appeared did not disappear in time, so that garbled characters were generated. I uses Microsoft Terminal pre version.

Steps to reproduce: Open a directory with Chinese files and try searching.


Start by reproducing the issue on Windows in PowerShell using Microsoft Terminal, with a directory containing Chinese filenames. Inspect the terminal rendering path and compare the character-clearing behavior while searching. Done means Chinese characters disappear correctly without leaving garbled output.
