Description

Is there a chance to get any of thsese merged if I rebased it and did some cleanup?

Research direction

Start by reviewing the related issues #1142, #1262, and #1908 plus jQuery UI ticket 7098 to understand the existing Datepicker and shortYearCutoff behavior. Identify the preferred configuration and verify that years 0000–0099 can be selected without breaking existing year handling; the issue provides no file or test path.
