zip file empty if created inside source directory

Description
I have a dist/ directory containing files in dist/css/. If I run the command:
cross-zip dist dist/foobar.zip
The resulting file is empty. It only works if I place the resulting zip file somewhere else, e.g.
cross-zip dist target/foobar.zip
