Description

Using a config file would make it easy to store the settings upon reload and reboot, as well as make it more manageable via Systemd (instead of a long string).

Perhaps add option -c config.json or something similar.

Research direction

Start by locating the command-line entry point that parses the current long settings string and checking how Systemd invokes chisel. The issue names no files or tests, so first map the existing options and reload behavior before deciding how -c config.json should be represented. Done means settings can be supplied through a config file and remain manageable across reloads and reboots.
