Description

This one is a bit hard to explain with words, but the picture should explain it well. In some rounds where the upper player of a progressing round would have to come down to meet their next round opponent, the display likes to have the line go upwards first, then go forwards, then come back down

Research direction

Start by reproducing the bracket_ultimate mapping shown in the attached screenshot and trace how the progressing round's display line is routed. Done means affected upper-player connections proceed toward the next opponent without first going upward and then returning downward.
