unrecognised content at end of stream

Hello,
You could probably argue this isn't a bug... as it is throwing the right error "unrecognised content at end of stream", however i'm wondering if it's possible to instead just ignore data after IEND? My IDE, finder, etc, can all open this image so are just ignoring that.
Unfortunately I have some pictures (attached) which are a product of ffmpeg that seem to have this.
Sorry if this is a dumb question by the way, i'm super new to image manipulation.
