Description
Great document and agree things need to change to be more inclusive.
I find amongst a range of my Muslim friends some will not attend at all if alcohol is served. I've been to a range of events for people in the evening who are predominately people of colour and they haven't served alcohol. I survived just fine!
One thing is that if we have over lunch we wouldn't serve alcohol so perhaps we kill two birds with one stone by doing at that time.
Another approach is to have no alcohol at the venue and then people can decamp to a pub afterwards - this often occurs. This may be an acceptable compromise, but it isn't fully inclusive and it would need to be seen as just a social aspect and not the core talk(s) continuing. Maybe what should be done is to say something like people are free to socialise at outside venues afterwards and not name any??

Research direction
No file, test, or entry point is named. Review the existing meetup-accessibility document and the discussion about alcohol, event timing, and social venues; the work is done only when the project reaches and records a clear, inclusive policy.
