### Reproduction steps

I have a fairly complex pipeline. At one point it reaches this step:

It executes (there happens to be no file that matches the pattern). Immediately afterwards I get

And there is no recovery from that.

Could it be that some internal limit is reached?

Note that these steps are run for three modes (the `testMode` variable) and if a failure happens, it's always for testMode=='release'. Sometimes it succeeds.
