Feature Request: Target specific file(s) in repository for diff

I'd really like to be able to specify a single file (or even, series of explicit files?) inside my git repo for diff. The structure of the particular build I'm using contains artifacts by filename and releases them by associated environment in our distribution server.

Is this functionality that can be added?

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating how this plugin configures and generates repository diffs, then determine how a single file or explicit file list should be specified and what behavior the distribution-server artifact workflow requires. Done means a targeted diff works for one file and multiple explicitly selected files, with coverage for those cases.
