Description

We had an issue with our technical user that looks for changes, but did not notice that no job was building as the "Folder Computation" (silently - except for a log entry) failed.

It would be nice to be notified about errors in the "Folder Computation" - a prominent message would be sufficient.

Research direction

Start by examining the Folder Computation handling in the branch-api-plugin and the related cloudbees-folder-plugin component, using the reported log entry as the observed failure signal. Determine where computation errors are exposed and define a prominent notification; done means users can notice when a Folder Computation fails rather than relying only on logs.
