Description

We recently updated the active directory plugin from version 2.0 to 2.4 and we started having problems not being able to login.  We discovered that if you clear your browser cookies, you can then login just fine.  Our workaround was to revert back to version 2.0.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the failed login after upgrading the active-directory-plugin from 2.0 to 2.4 while retaining browser cookies, then compare the behavior after clearing them. Use the attached support_2017-05-19_17.zip and the existing issue discussion as investigation context; done means login succeeds after the upgrade without requiring users to clear cookies.
