Consider using fetch and removing axios dependency

Every new vulnerability discovered in the axios library forces a new release of this package.

Would you consider using fetch and removing the axios dependency? I can work on a PR if you agree with the change.

No file or test is named; start by locating the axios usage and checking the package's supported Node.js versions before evaluating fetch. Done means axios is removed while the CLI and Node.js API retain their existing HTTP-wait behavior and the relevant tests pass.
