**Beagle:** a tool for sharing scientific insights
## What

Beagle, named after Charles Darwin’s ship, is a social sharing tool, designed with the unique needs of scientists in mind. Beagle helps capture insights quickly at the exact times they are generated and routes them to the people who need them most.

The goal of the project is to transform how scientific insights are generated, shared and re-combined, accelerating the scientific enterprise.

## Seeking
- highly motivated hackers to drive an open-source project
- should have interest in working closely with scientists to find the optimal user experience

**Frontend Engineer (full time or part time):**
- strong background in web development (js/html/css).
- experience building and deploying web applications. experience with Bootstrap or similar UI frameworks.
- some experience with node.js and npm preferred.
- please provide a github profile, and any links to webapps developed.

**UX / UI designer (full time or part time)**
- strong background in web products user experience design
- ability to create UIs using frameworks like Bootstrap or Polymer
- ability to iterate quickly on designs with user feedback.
- ideally has worked on social sharing applications and understands UX constraints in sharing interfaces (privacy, intuitiveness, etc).
- please provide design portfolio website, or live apps.
