Description

# Project Proposal

## Project Details
[django-phonenumber-field](https://github.com/stefanfoulis/django-phonenumber-field/)

## Project Description
A Django library which interfaces with [python-phonenumbers](https://github.com/daviddrysdale/python-phonenumbers) to validate, pretty print and convert phone numbers. [python-phonenumbers](https://github.com/daviddrysdale/python-phonenumbers) is a port of Google's [libphonenumber](https://github.com/google/libphonenumber) library, which powers Android's phone number handling.

While @francoisfreitag is submitting the issue, you can see the project has long intended to join Jazzband with https://github.com/stefanfoulis/django-phonenumber-field/issues/224 and latest PR https://github.com/stefanfoulis/django-phonenumber-field/pull/536.

I emailed Stefan, who should confirm this proposal, coordinate to transfer the repository to Jazzband and add Jazzband as a maintainer on PyPI.
