Vim freezes when typing / in any file with easycomplete enabled

I am a happy user of easycomplete me since last autumn, but recently I am stuck each time I input the "/" character, regardless of file format (both checked and not checked by lsp, like .txt). It occurs only when I have easycompleteme enabled. More curiously, this happens only on the remote machine I use for work, but not on my local laptop. Both have the same vim version 9.0, same OS (Ubuntu 20.04, though with different kernels).
The problem appeared after 29.07.

I don't know whether it is more related to easycompleteme update, or some OS settings/update. Maybe you have some ideas? It slows down my work a lot.

Start by reproducing the freeze when typing `/` with easycompleteme enabled, comparing the remote and local Ubuntu 20.04 environments and versions after 29.07. Done means the cause is isolated and the freeze no longer occurs without breaking completion.
