Description
Hi,
I'm looking for a way to fill credentials for Wifi and VPN networks into KDE's desktop wallet (Ubuntu/Kubuntu).
The first approach to use KDE's own kwallet-query fails due to a bug: kwallet-query can write the credentials, but not create the folder the credential belongs into.
Now I tried keyring, but keyring always stores passwords as passwords in the wallet, while Wifi and VPN passwords are – for some reason, probably by NetworkManager – not stored as passwords in the wallet, but as maps. Just open the KDE wallet manager after having set a VPN or Wifi password and have a look.
Would it be possible to extend keyring to also read and write these maps?

Research direction
The issue names no repository files or tests. Start by examining the existing keyring integration with KDE's wallet and reproduce the WiFi or VPN credential entries in KDE Wallet Manager. Done means keyring can read and write the map entries used for those credentials, with coverage for the supported behavior.
