Description
Several customers have reported permission issues with opening files, saving files, activating licenses and accessing private keys. In all cases, the Sandbox seems to prevent Postico from accessing files that it should be allowed to access.
MacOS shows an unhelpful error message stating something like "You don't have permssion to save the file" or similar.
I have not been able to reproduce this error myself, and it seems to affect only a small number of users. The error has started showing up in recent months. I believe that the problem is caused by a problem with macOS, since I have heard from other developers that their users have similar issues.
If you are affected by this problem, please add a comment to this issue. I am curious:
1. Have you seen this problem with other apps?
2. Does the problem go away after a restart of the app or of your computer?
3. Do you have any protection software installed? (eg. anti-virus, firewall, file system watchdog etc.)
4. Do you have any syncing software installed? (eg. Dropbox, Google Drive, etc)
5. Do you have any kernel extensions installed?

Research direction
No source file, test, or entry point is identified. Start by collecting the affected users' answers about other apps, restarts, protection or syncing software, and kernel extensions, then reproduce the macOS Sandbox permission failures; done means identifying a reproducible cause and a verified fix.
