Description
Jakarta EE 10 has two competing APIs for HTTP handling; one provided by Servlet, the other by REST.
This is highly undesirable. Both users and other vendors need to learn / support two largely distinct APIs.

Research direction
Review the Jakarta EE 10 Servlet and REST HTTP APIs, then read the linked AB#51 work item to understand the intended unification scope. Done requires an agreed, actionable direction for reconciling the two APIs; this issue does not identify files or tests to change.
