Research direction

The issue names Android Eclair on BeagleBoard-XM, the Terminal Emulator, and a serial connection to a Linux host, but no repository file or test. Start by reproducing the terminal and serial prompts and determine the supported way to obtain root access; done means a documented, working sequence for root commands.
