Adding progress bar when cloning repo's

Hi,
It's a suggestion since when I download a big repo, it's just freezes and doesn't show any progress.
Can there be some progress bar tat could show that it is really doing smth and not frozen?

The issue does not name a file, test, or entry point. Start by locating the command path that clones dependencies and inspect how clone output is currently handled; done should mean that cloning a large repository visibly reports progress instead of appearing frozen.
