Description
A first attempt at estimating the HWP contributions is running, but leaves significant room for improvement, both in the detail of the modelling and the tightness of fit to the published NIR values.
The figure and description of the HWP sector in EN_Annex3.5_Methodologies_LULUCF.pdf have more details to incorporate into the planzero logic, and refers to data I haven't used yet:

Research direction
Start by reviewing the HWP sector figure and description in EN_Annex3.5_Methodologies_LULUCF.pdf, then inspect the existing planzero estimation logic. Compare the current inputs with FAOSTAT Forestry Production and Trade and Forestry Trade Flows, and consider the work done when the model incorporates the relevant data and fits the published NIR values more closely.
