Description

Dear ITZG team,
I'm looking for a way to connect to bedrock server over LAN from Nintendo Switch.
From Windows 11 client it works flawlessly, other users report successful connection from PS5.
There was opinion that Nintendo doesn't support cross platform lan games.
But recently I could connect to Nintendo MC world from Win client and vice versa.
I have Nintendo online subscription and Microsoft accounts set up.
The key to achieving connection was adding both players as friends.
That give me idea that, if Bedrock server will broadcast some XUID that can be added to friends it should show up in friends Tab.
Quick packet capture shows that clients broadcast some hash over udp port 7551 and send uni-cast reply to the broadcaster upon retrieval

Do you think it would be possible to set it up.
I understand that it is question to mojang, just wanted to ask.

Research direction

The report names Nintendo Switch, Bedrock server LAN discovery, and UDP port 7551 packet captures, but no repository file, test, or implementation entry point. Start by determining whether the requested broadcast and friend-discovery behavior is controllable by this project or by Minecraft/Mojang, then define a reproducible connection test as the completion criterion.
