Description

F.15 is unclear. I've read it 4 times and I still don't understand what the author really means. Ironic, considering what the section tries to fix:

causes surprises, slows understanding by other programmers

The tables aren't helpful. They each have an empty column (why?), the table cells are sometimes divided and sometimes not (what does that mean?), one is a copy of another with red text added (are those the advanced forms we're supposed to avoid? If so, why is one form the same as a simple form?), what is the difference between the two f(X&&) entries?

Does F.15 mean to have us avoid F(X&&)? If so, state it clearly and give a better rationale.
