Description
This has happened for a while. Occasionally when unfocusing the window (either by having it open in slideover and moving it offscreen for a duration, or focusing on another window for a long while in stage manager), the keyboard will stop working permanently, and I'll have to reopen the app to get it working again. The buttons at the bottom disappear, and the comma hotkey doesn't help.
I don't have a screenshot, but it's largely unremarkable. Visible text sometimes blinks when clicked on, but ultimately does nothing. The bar at the bottom with the settings button and whatnot is missing. The cursor, upon returning the window, is no-filled and only draws the border.
It doesn't seem to be affected by which processes are currently running (it can happen when I haven't run anything).
iPadOS 18.1.1, iPad Pro 4th gen 12.9".
I've looked online and I haven't seen anything similar in the issues page or on DDG. If I can provide any additional information, please let me know. I'll get a screenshot whenever it happens again.
edit: issue has persisted at least since iPadOS 17, if that helps narrow it down at all

Research direction
No source file or test is identified. Start by reproducing the failure on iPadOS 17 or 18.1.1 using Slideover and Stage Manager, then observe the keyboard, bottom bar, cursor, and comma hotkey after refocusing. Done means the app remains interactive without needing to be reopened.
