Description
Brilliant stuff, I **love** having this on the phone
BUT
I have a tiny..
screen
and so keying can be a PITA, especially jumping around modifiers to get pipe, slash, sq.brackets, $ etc
(If I turn phone landscape I have a better key board but only see about 2 lines of text!)
Often I am redoing paths, again and again. Is there a way to improve this (or am I missing something)?
I use dirs, pushd, popd a great deal to reduce this rekey (and refind exact paths) - even on my Mac.
Some shells auto save recent dirs.
What can be done for ish? (or is done and I did not find it)

Research direction
The request does not name a file, test, or entry point. Start by locating the shell's existing handling of dirs, pushd, and popd, then define the desired recent-directory behavior. Done should mean reducing repeated path entry on the small phone keyboard without making landscape mode impractical.
