.bashrc and exit

Description
I've gotten myself into a real pickle. I put 'exit' at the end of root's .bashrc because many times (but not always) I wouldn't get the prompt back until I hit Return. Now iSH just exits out. I've tried a quick ^Z but that doesn't work. Any ideas?
