Description

Hi! I know kids these days love everything to be translucent, however, I think that in the case of DropdownStringController it really hurts the readability of the provided options, as they are often rendered on top of other controls containing text. Would it be possible to make this translucent effect at least opt-out?

Research direction

Start by locating DropdownStringController and inspect how its options are rendered and where the translucent effect is applied. Determine how the effect can be made opt-out, then verify that options remain legible over controls containing text and that the default behavior is preserved.
