Description
Bug Description
Although the title of MC-122477 specifically mentions the "Open Chat" keybind, this bug also affects "Open Command" (if set to a letter) and reopening creative inventory if it was closed on the "Search Items" tab.
How to Reproduce?
I use Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS, but this probably works everywhere MC-122477 exists. MC version 1.20.1, Fabric API version 0.91.0, no other mods.
Rebind the "Open Command" keybind to a letter (in my case "r"), and it will sometimes result in "/r" when pressed.
To recreate the creative inventory bug, close it on the "Search Items" tab, and pressing "e" will sometimes put "e" into the search bar.
It doesn't always trigger, so it can take some time to reproduce, but a comment on MC-122477 says it is normal for this to not always trigger.
Expected Behavior
When pressing "Open Command" keybind it should just result in "/" and when pressing "Open Inventory" keybind it shouldn't add that key to the search bar.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the intermittent keybind cases described for Open Command and reopening the creative inventory on the Search Items tab, then read the linked MC-122477 context. The work is done when those key presses no longer insert an extra letter and the expected command or inventory behavior occurs consistently.
