Description

  • Mod name: enchancement
  • Mod version: 1.21.11 r8

you cannot use the strafe enchancement due to, what I believe, is the way the controlify mod calculates movement.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to controlify keybinds
  2. Click on directional burst under enchancement
  3. set keybind to whatever [I used b]
  4. test strafe enchancement [goes on chestplate]

Expected behavior
the enchancement to work, and to be propelled in the movement direction

Screenshots
[i have none]

Minecraft Info (please complete the following information):

  • OS: windows 11
  • Minecraft Version: 1.21.11
  • Controlify Version: v2.5.2+1.21.11

Additional context
works fine on keyboard, if you use wasd and the controller directional burst keybind, but doesnt work if you use the joystick.
(also im using an xbox controller if that info helps in any way)

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue through the Controlify keybinds using an Xbox controller, comparing joystick movement with WASD movement for the directional burst enchantment. Trace the controller movement path involved in strafe enhancement handling; done means the burst propels the player in the joystick's movement direction as it does with keyboard input.
