[nicklist.pl] inside screen draws vertical bars

Description

Guys, anyone has a clue? Inside the newer version (e.g. screen-4.6.2-1.fc27.x86_64) of screen nicklist draws additional vertical bars:

That's not the case with an older (screen-4.0.3-19.el6.x86_64) screen:

I wouldn't mind them bars, but when you're onto following some badass multiline url, it makes it quite inconvenient...
