Description
Motivation
To offer a simplified customer network architecture we want to explore the possibility of having a flat IPv6 network without an overlay or RFC1918-style VPCs.
In Scope
- Implement IronCore-compatible network component for the hypervisors.
- Handle address assignment out of the host IPv6 prefix.
- Report IPv6 address back to IronCore.
- Investigate potential API changes in IronCore to support this new network model.
- Go library to serve as network library for compute hypervisors.
Out of Scope
- Production-grade implementation.
- Hardware offloading.
Acceptance Criteria
- Public repository containing PoC implementation.
- Successful setup to run VMs with at least one hypervisor with at least two servers.
