Summary
To enable stakeholders to bootstrap a bare-metal management cluster we should provide documentation and tooling to bootstrap such a cluster.
Scope
In Scope
- CAPI-based management cluster.
- Bootstrapping from lights-out to metal automation having onboarded and managing all servers.
- Document prerequisites: network, necessary data, ...
Out of Scope
- Network setup.
- Gardener based management cluster.
Acceptance Criteria
- A single document with step-by-step instructions on how to bootstrap the management cluster.
- Basic tooling to ease the bootstrapping process, for example an Ansible playbook.
